Our Story – The Heart Behind Fluid Solutions
The Before Times
Hi everyone, my name is Will, and I’m the CEO & Founder of Fluid Solutions. Thank you for taking a moment to hear our story — because this isn’t just a business for us. It’s our purpose, our passion, and the life we’ve dedicated ourselves to.
Before Fluid Solutions existed, my world looked very different. I spent over a decade as a chef in high-end hotels, later working as a private chef and personal trainer. Martial arts has been a part of my life since I was 16 — from Karate and Boxing to Muay Thai and eventually Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where I became an instructor. I always believed my journey would stay on that path… until life changed.
Life Changes
When COVID hit, both of my careers disappeared overnight. Months of isolation, uncertainty and helplessness took a heavy toll on me mentally. During that time, my wife Steph — now the CFO of Fluid Solutions — suggested something unexpected: supporting her close friend’s daughter, who has ADHD and autism. She knew I loved kids, and with family on the spectrum, she believed I could make a difference.
I didn’t realise then how much that simple “yes” would change my life.
Working with her gave me purpose at a time when I felt lost. I found connection, fulfilment and a sense of meaning that I hadn’t felt in years. Her family saw progress in her development, and for the first time in a long time, I felt proud of myself again. That was the moment the door to the NDIS world opened for me — and I walked through it with intention.

The Journey
One participant became three. Three became six. And soon my days were filled with supporting people, mentoring, guiding, and building relationships that felt more like family than work. I saw firsthand how desperately the industry needed more compassion, more humanity, and more genuine understanding — not just systems and checklists.
As someone diagnosed with ADHD and ADD, I understood the unique challenges of the neurodiverse community. I understood the overwhelm, the judgement, the misunderstanding — and the incredible strengths, creativity and potential that so often go unseen.

The New Start
In January 2021, Steph and I created Fluid Solutions — a support service built from the heart, shaped by lived experience, and grounded in the belief that every person deserves to be understood, respected, and truly seen.
At Fluid Solutions, you’re not just choosing a provider — you’re choosing people who care deeply. We don’t wear big branded shirts or drive logo-plastered cars. We show up as humans first. We know the stigma that can come with disability, and we choose labels.
Fluid Solutions
Everything we do is built around connection. Our programs are developed in collaboration with therapists, OTs, support coordinators and allied health professionals — always tailored to each individual. We mentor young people to grow confidence, independence, and life skills that stay with them forever.
Our team is a beautiful mix of people with their own lived experiences — martial artists, dancers, fitness coaches, creatives, carers, and future practitioners — each bringing their own strengths, passions, and heart to the participants they support.
